    This is a “Shoot & Move” Bowling Pin Challenge. It is a handgun match that is a great way for those new to shooting competition to get started and for those with a lot of experience to work on their skills. You will work on target acquisition, sight alignment, grip, trigger control, transition, and shooting under (time) pressures. It is great for newer shooters, as the Range officers are allowed to provide advice as needed.

    Range Confidence Coaching is a 2 Hour personalized training session tailored to your skill level and goals. The Certified Instructor provides a targeted experience focusing on firearm safety, fundamentals and skills assessment. The instructor develops a training plan that targets areas for improvement, while fortifying existing skills. Training may include live-fire, firearm handling drills and classroom instruction, as determined by the instructor. One-on-One Coaching is ideal for anyone who prefers a private learning environment that focuses on needs and goals.

In addition to covering shooting fundamentals, the class provides a thorough overview of general firearm laws and regulations, as well as proper gun etiquette for safe and responsible ownership. Participants will engage in a variety of hands-on drills and scenarios to reinforce their knowledge and develop confidence with their handgun, making it a well-rounded and practical introduction to firearm use. NOTE: When you sign up for Part 1 of the Basic Handgun class, your registration automatically includes Part 2. There’s no need to register separately.

    We have a sanctioned USPSA match which will let you develop and practice your skills in drawing from a holster, rapid shooting, shooting on the move and shooting under (time) pressures. These are not skills you can practice in the range during normal range hours.

    Defensive Handgun 103

    It’s time to bring it all together. In this advanced course, you’ll combine the foundational skills from Defensive Handgun 101 and the dynamic techniques from 102 into realistic, scenario-based training. This is where you elevate your abilities and truly prepare for real-world defensive situations. With a focus on practical application and advanced techniques, this course is designed to push your limits and challenge your skills.

    This class emphasizes:

    • Scenario-Based Training: Apply all the skills you’ve learned in 101 and 102 in high-pressure, realistic scenarios.
    • Advanced Techniques: Learn multiple shooting positions, navigating through confined spaces like rooms, hallways, and doors, and mastering the effective use of cover and concealment.
    • Speed and Accuracy: Train to shoot faster and more accurately while maintaining control and precision under stress.
    • Physical Endurance: This is the first class in the series that requires significant physical stamina. You’ll be moving, kneeling, and navigating obstacles throughout the course; knee pads are strongly recommended!

    Round count: You will need approximately 450 rounds. Frangible Ammunition may be required, please check with staff prior to class

    Location: Outdoor range. Check with staff for location

    Prerequisite: Defensive Handgun 101 and 102; or, received approval from the instructor.
